Deeper is free while it's in beta. This page explains what happens at launch and how to activate a license when the time comes.
Free during beta
Right now there's nothing to buy and no account to create. Open settings → LICENSE and you'll see Free during beta. Every feature is available.
Pricing at launch
When Deeper leaves beta, it becomes a subscription:
- $6 / month, or
- $60 / year (two months free versus monthly).
- A 30-day free trial, so you can try the paid version before you're charged.
The iPhone companion app stays free — the subscription is for the Mac app.
Activating a license
After launch, once you subscribe you'll receive a license key. To activate:
- Open settings → LICENSE.
- Paste your key into the field and click activate.
Your subscription can be used on more than one Mac (up to three). To move a seat to a different machine, use deactivate this Mac in the same panel to free it up, then activate on the new one. You can manage or cancel the subscription itself from the Manage subscription link.
Working offline
An active license keeps working without an internet connection. Deeper only needs to check in occasionally; if you're offline, it stays licensed for up to 30 days before it needs to reconnect. This means a licensed app keeps running through a long stretch off the grid.
Whether or not you keep a subscription, your library lives on your own devices. It stays with you.
