Lexicon sync & USB export
Deeper plays well with the rest of a DJ's toolkit: it can sync with Lexicon and export a Rekordbox-compatible library — to a USB drive for CDJs, or straight into Rekordbox.
Lexicon sync and USB / Rekordbox export are still in active development. They work, but treat them as beta features: keep your originals, and always preview before you apply.
Lexicon sync
Click lexicon in the top bar. Lexicon must be running on the same Mac. Choose a direction with the mode picker:
- both ways — merge changes in both directions.
- lexicon → deeper — pull changes from Lexicon into Deeper.
- deeper → lexicon — push changes from Deeper into Lexicon.
Deeper loads a preview automatically, laid out in two columns (→ deeper and → lexicon), showing the tracks, playlists, and tags that would be added or removed on each side. When the preview looks right, click sync. If nothing differs, you'll see libraries in sync.
Exporting to USB or Rekordbox
Click USB sync in the top bar, then pick a destination: rekordbox (this mac) or usb drive.
Export to Rekordbox
Deeper writes your tracks, playlists, cues, and beatgrids into your Rekordbox library on this Mac.
- Quit Rekordbox first — its library is locked while it's open. Deeper will tell you if it needs you to quit.
- Deeper detects your Rekordbox library and shows how many tracks it found.
- Choose the scope: entire library or selected playlists.
- Click preview changes to see exactly what will be written, then apply.
Your existing Rekordbox beatgrids and waveforms are never overwritten by this export. A history view keeps a record of past exports.
Export to a USB drive
This writes a Pioneer/CDJ-format library to a USB drive so you can play straight from CDJs.
- Plug in a USB drive or external SSD and select it in the drive picker.
- Optionally set a dj name.
- Tick the playlists to export.
- Run a dry run to check the plan, then export to USB.
When it finishes you can open the drive to confirm the contents.
